PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

Deterrent

When armed the attacker will receive the regulated pulsed deterrent from the system under the following conditions.
Touching a pulsed wire and alternative pulsed wire simultaneously
Touching a pulsed wire (while being connected to ground earth)
Touching a alternative pulsed wire (while being connected to ground earth)

Detection

The detection portion of the system will create an alarm under the following conditions: Climbing on the wires, Cutting of wires, Shorting the wires.

Alarm

The detection portion will provide detection with no false alarms due to normal environmental conditions, when installed and maintained according to ALTIMA team.
Alarm will be created by the following events.
Unauthorized removal of the fence controller cover.
Disconnection of keypad from fence controller

Altima Provides Four Types Of Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems ( PIDS Solution)

There are four main types of Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems (PIDS), these are:

1. Barrier-Mounted – Fence Intrusion Detection System
PIDS deployed on or in conjunction with a fence or other physical barrier (e.g. DAS cable or other motion sensors mounted on a fence).

2. Ground-based or Below-ground
PIDS deployed below ground (again a DAS cable can be used or pressure sensitive cable or electromagnetic field). These do not require a physical barrier.

3. Free-Standing
PIDS deployed above ground that does not need to be installed on or in conjunction with a physical barrier (e.g. bistatic microwave link).

4. Rapidly Deployable
This type of PIDS is designed for temporary deployment; for example, to protect a mobile asset. Typically this would cover military applications and again DAS sensing technology has been very successfully deployed in these environments.
